Ariel continues to thrive on love. She is very well versed in her daily activities. Eat, sleep and play with toys to the point of destruction!
Ariel just had a birthday and is 13 years old. She has not changed a bit in the 4 years we have had her in forever foster care. Although she has lost weight, she is now where the Vet wants her to be at 8 lbs. She is on a controlled diet of grain free kibble mixed with her prescriptions, canned grain free food and Kefir. She is very healthy and enjoys her quiet time. Ariel hasn't been crated and loves her freedom.
There are days when Ariel will totally destroy a bed, taking every bit of stuffing out of it. This brings her joy, so we let her do it and when she is done and walks away, we re-stuff the bed and stitch it up. Nothing like keeping a pup happy when she has no sight.
Ariel still has insulin injections twice daily. Her cc's have not risen or lowered since she came into rescue. She is now having eye drops twice daily instead of every three hours. We have found that the gel drops last a lot longer than the liquid.
We would welcome sponsorship for Ariel. Although she is a forever foster, she still needs yearly vetting, dentals, insulin, syringes, eye drops, monthly HW preventative, Flea and tick preventative and her Thyroid meds daily.
Ariel joins her other foster friends in the big bed every night. She loves her nightly belly rubs and kisses.
Ariel is a very special pup, who came to APOL as an owner surrender. She will remain with us as a forever foster to live out the rest of her life. Ariel is diabetic, blind, hypothyroid and has dry eye. She can't control her urine, so she needs to be in diapers while in the house.
Ariel is a loving and very quiet little lady and gets along well with the other pups. She sleeps a lot but also has a great appetite.
Ariel requires eye drops every 3 hours, pills for her thyroid, a special dog food from the Vet and insulin twice daily.
We would love to have someone help sponsor her, as her daily requirements are expensive.
